There are sooo many adorable, beautiful, wonderful stamps and digital stamps out in the world right now. It’s so hard to not buy them all!
This week I found another stamp designer to add to my Favorites List – Power Poppy. She has some seriously beautiful flowers that make for really beautiful cards. I had a VERY hard time just choosing one (to start with). I decided to go with the Power Poppy Gerbera Daisies since it’s the middle of COLD and I figured I needed a little something bright and pretty.
Power Poppy Gerbera Daisies
These Power Poppy Gerbera Daisies came as a digital stamp so I was able to increase the size of it to make it a little more close up. I did use Photoshop but most of the time I use PowerPoint and it works out just great. Also, I knew I wanted it to be an A2 sized card, so I made sure to make it 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ so just a small border of the card base would show behind it. I printed it out on watercolor paper.
To color it, I used what is quickly becoming my go to method – watercolor pencils as a base then small areas of Stabilo marker that is quickly blended with a blender pen. I just LOVE this technique. It turns out different every time. Watch the video below to see how I do it.
I hope this card brought a little sunshine into your day!
What is your favorite flower? (Mine is actually tulip…I think we know my next flower project!)
