There are soooo many options in the world of stamping. There are actual physical stamps (like Stampin Up!). There are also digital stamps. And one of my favorite designers of digital stamps is Gerda Steiner.
Her stamps are sooo adorable…you won’t be able to stop yourself from buying some. She also has a monthly challenge, this month it’s to make a peace Santa card, that you can enter using the chosen stamp for the month. You can upload the link to it and then she’ll choose a winner to get free digital stamps. It’s a great way to challenge yourself and to keep your addiction up!
Peace Santa Card
This month’s chosen stamp is this adorable peace Santa card.
First I printed him out on watercolor paper. Then I colored him with a mix of watercolor pencils and Stabilo markers (click here to see a video of how I combine the two). Then I used a little Wink of Stella to give the white sections of his coat a little shimmer (hard to see in the picture).
Next I attached his little square to a slightly larger square of blue cardstock. I cut a piece of Christmas scrapbook paper to completely cover the card base I had and glued it down. I cut a piece of blue ribbon and glued it to the card and then used some dimensionals to make Santa pop out a little from the card.
I honestly think this is the Christmas card I’ve been waiting for all season. I hadn’t been able to decide the one I liked the best…but I think this is it!
Make sure you check out the rest of the entries in the Gerda Steiner December Progressive Challenge here.
I can’t wait to see what January brings!
